Glorious colour and with very nice trim.
the empire bodice with curving cream satin decoration, the edges rouleau trimmed, the front, back and sleeves with bands of cream satin and blonde lace, original neck drawstring, shoulder to back hem 51 in or 1.3 m
This has been made almost certainly from an 18th c dress or two dresses. The front panel of the skirt is slightly stronger shade than the rest, as is the centre back bodice and the puff sleeves. There are fold marks in the front skirt where it has been unpicked. The skirt has been let out but could be reinstated. The back has had a tear but been supported. The back fastening has been let out in recent years with a yellow ribbon. This could easily be removed. Slight underarm markings Also little mark to back skirt. Ask for photos.
