Lovely soft colours with stunning silver metal trim.Backed with French chiné silk. The brocade 1770s.
The horizontal ribbed silk ground woven with sprays of flowers apricot, yellow, ivory and green, the top edged with flat silver metal strips and basket weave of finer silver, the lower edge with silver fringing, backed with linen to the top half and a pink chiné silk to the lower part.

The top and left hand side of the silver braid is lifting slightly so you can see the paper, but hey this is OLD. and beautiful.
