Incredible quality and unused. In early 18th century style with the huge repeat. This would have been a very expensive cloth. It came from a large country house in Norfolk.
A roll of thick cut silk velvet with a large central repeating formal design of leaves with a rose above, each side with huge pods and leaves and smaller flowerheads and leaves.
12.24 yards; 11.20 m
Width: 26 in; 66 cm. The right hand selvedge is missing. I think the fabric was only this width plus that right hand selvedge.
Design repeat: 2 ft; 60 cm
Mint, unused. One minute moth hole.
