Tulip and Rose was designed by William Morris and registered on 20 January 1876.
The thick 3 ply woven wool and linen has terracotta roses and full blown tulips in shaded pale blue with some smaller ochre half tulips, all on an indigo background.
6ft 8 in x 30 in; 1.90 x 90 cm; Selvedge to selvedge.
Repeat 27 1/2 in; 70 cm. There are 2 repeats.
Very good apart from the top 10 cm which has the machine stitching holes. Professionally cleaned.
