Qing period. This type of collar would have been worn with formal court costume.
Embroidered with twisted silks with a pair of dragons flanking a flaming pearl, surrounded by waves, clouds and flowers,all in shades of blue, green, yellow, terracotta and ivory, the dragons couched with gold wraped silk thread, all on a black satin ground, the brocade border in indigo and gold thread, lined with soft apricot silk.

The toggle and loop is missing. There is a very little wear to the edge, centre of the neck, where the collar has been folded in two.
