Bought in Hamburg, Germany. Fantastic quality and clearly for a small daughter of an aristocratic family. I have not seen such a panel of silver metal faceted 'jewels' before. A collector's piece.
The bonnet woven in a brocade effect with flowers and leaf meanders in silver metal strips on a silver filé ground, interspersed with silver metal ribbons, similarly worked, the central panel with silver facetted 'jewels' and spangles, lined in linen.
Apporox 4 1/2 in; 18 cm tall.
Very very good. The inside linen is a little grubby. The ribbons need flatening out.
