The embroidery on this piece is extremely fine and the colours clear and bright.
A stem carrying four medlar fruits of different sizes in ochre, pale brown, palest pink, shades of green and off white, the poointed leaves in shades of green, yellow and brown, the stem cut on the slant, all in silks in finest tent stitch.

Now moutned on coarse natural linen, wrapped over acid free board ready for framing.
Excellent. Unfaded. I can probably find a plain and very suitable old oak frame from c 1900 which look good with early embroideries.
