A really lovely example of a turkish towel. Great design and colours. Would look good as a table or chest runner. It is particularly large.
The fine cotton with embroidered ends, each with three gruops of apricot and mid blue fruits worked in thick twisted silks, touches of mid and lime green with gold wrapped silk couching, the borders with alternating blocks of apricot silk and gold couching.
60 x 21 1/2 in; 1.5 m x 55 cm
The towel apepars fresh. There are a couple of light brown marks to one side near the centre. One end has no markings, but the other has two areas 3.5 x 2 cm and a few other much smaller marks nearby.
