Stunning design. These were probably pilaster hangings. I can sell these seperately.
Two panels each with a huge elaborate intricate guilloche designed vase from which huge strapwork type stems decorated with small cresents and leaves emerge, narrow side borders fo repeated diagonal leaves, all in crimson ciselé velvet on a yellow tabby silk weave ground, backed with handstitched linen.
Total length 79 x 21 in; 80 x 53 cm
Each panel has an additonal panel added to the top, which could easily be removed. The added panels measure 7 1/2 in; 19 cm deep. Each £650
Panel one has a small very old darn and the odd small mark.
Panel two has the lower left hand corner repaired with an added piece1 1/2 x 1 in; 3 x 2.5 cm
