A & B are similar and could be used together as a curtain, or a pair of hangings.



Tulip and Rose was designed by William Morris and registered on 20 January 1876.


Cataloguing

The thick 3 ply woven wool and linen has terracotta roses and full blown tulips in shaded pale blue with some smaller ochre half tulips, all on an indigo background.



6ft 8 in x 30 in; 1.90 x 69 cm;



Repeat 27 1/2 in; 70 cm.  There are 2 repeats.


Condition

B - The top 12 cm is the same as A.  On the left hand side, 60 cm from the bottom, there is a bite out out of the side and a hole.



Professionally cleaned.
