I always think of the colouring on this shawl as typical Norwich. A very wearable shawl.
Cataloguing
hand block printed wool and silk twill weave shawl, possibly Towler & Campin, Norwich, the cream ground with a central square and outer border of delicate flowers and leaves. with squared flower sprays between, all in in red, burnt orange, mauve and mid green, wool fringe, 59 in; 150 cm sq.
Condition
Clean and fresh. Few small holes. One small feint brown mark 1 x 1/4 in.
