a Manchu woman's jacket, of indigo silk satin embroidered with large butterflies and peonies in shades of blue through white, an inner narrow hand woven border, the sleevebands of pale blue silk satin with similar theme of peonies and butterflies, the lining of white ermine with little black tails, size 10 UK; size 6 USA.

Condition

Very good apart from the buttons have been removed. The ends of the button loops have been cut, so the jacket would have to be worn open. There is slight wear to the fur round the neck but once worn this would not show. The sleevebands have slight markings where they have been folded.
