The rich red velvet ground applique with a raised work double headed eagle with outstretched wings, his body supporting a crest, all couched in gold wrapped silk thread, the feather tips in black and grey silk, surmounted and enclosed by vine sprays, either side with similar vine sprays, embellished with small gold coloured spangels, four sides edged with crimson silk damask

Condition
Very good. No damage to the velvet. The damask silk edging has torn and could be removed. It does not do anything to be kept. There is a small flower to the centre sides, one has a pink "jewel" to the centre the other does not. Hardly noticeable.
