Beautiful colour which was very fashionable in the early 19th century.

Rich terracotta twill woven silk, each deep end (12 in; 30 cm) woven with lacy flaring shapes, blue roses, yellow and ivory silk flowers amongst green foliage, between guard stripes with repeat buds or flowers, the sides and ends with a narrow striped edge, silk fringing.

Condition
There is a dark fold line down the length of the stole. A few very minor markings to the plain middle, where the dye has bleached.
