Lovely soft colours. I think this must be an Edwardian copy of a 19th century design. Great to reproduce.
Cataloguing
One repeat with meandering thorny rose sprays, with shaded pink roses, full blown mauve and pink tulips, mauve/pink poppies and stems of blue flowers, also grafted onto the same rose stem, on a cream ground.
42 x 40 in; 1.08 x 1.02 m. Left hand selvedge only.
Condition
Very good. The last 3 1/ in; 9 cm has sewing holes and folds. The last 7 inches has a feint yellowish watermark. There are a couple of very feint yellowish marks near the mauve central poppy.
